Mark O'Neill portrait

Mark O’Neill was born in 1963. During his childhood, he lived in Mauritious, South Africa, Nigeria and Malta before settling in London. Whilst there, he studied at the Kingston College of Art, and was awarded a first class Honours Degree in Fine Art. He subsequently established himself as an illustrator and found relative success working for numerous literary publication bodies. However, after a number of years, he decided to return to his maternal family’s hometown of Tullamore to pursue his true passion; painting.

Mark first exhibited in Forge Gallery in County Louth and subsequently has had several sell-out shows in the Frederick Gallery, Dublin, Killarney Art Gallery & James Adams Dublin.

He has participated in the Wexford Art Show, in conjunction with the Annual Wexford Opera Festival. Mark choice of subject matter is extensive and includes landscape, still life, farms, cattle-markets, portraiture and interiors.

Mark O’Neill currently lives and works in County Wexford.
